Country girl in a city world

Wow.

Listen to me, mister. You’re my knight in shining armor. Don’t forget it.
—Ethel (Katharine Hepburn) to Norman (Henry Fonda) in “On Green Pond” (1981)

“Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty – they merely move it from their faces into their hearts.”

- Martin Buxbaum

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”

House

D made an offer on a house yesterday. It’s exciting! I hope nothing falls through. We realized that we don’t have nearly enough stuff to fill a house, but I personally am looking forward to shopping for furniture. We need: a couch, a dining room table & TV stand for the bigger things. We need a lot of small things. Mostly just space filling things. Maybe it would be easier to list the things we do have. We have: one bedroom suit (bed, dresser, chest, & two night stands), one bookshelf, & a desk, a washer & dryer. The house has three bedrooms, a bonus room, a finished basement/”man cave”, & 2 bathrooms. That’s a lot of space to fill and not a lot of furniture with which to fill it. Still exciting! Maybe I can post a picture of the outside of the house soon.

17 - a song that you hear often on the radio

LOVE this song! It’s so much like the things I hear daily.

16 - a song that you used to love but now hate.

This song got really really played out. And I am not a big fan of Rascal Flatts anymore. That being said, this song is really fantastic if you haven’t heard it a billion times.

15 - a song that describes you.

I hate that almost all of my songs are country songs, but I guess that’s a lot of who I am.
